That is the reality and painting stripes or spots on this hippo will not make it something else. We are a good C-USA team and we beat the system to get ahead in the realignment. An object will return to its natural state. Maybe we could win a title there because we won't here.

While we may be the worst team in this conference (not sure I agree, I think Louisville is worse, but we'll find out Nov. 25), we're definitely not the worst BCS team. So, you can take some solace in that.

I'm not convinced this coaching staff can get us to anything better than mediocre. That said, we don't have any other options, so we need to pray they prove us wrong. If we can eek out wins against two more teams and at least get bowl eligible, we can hope for improved play next year against what remains of the Big East. It'll be B.J.'s senior year, so at that point it's all or nothing.
