Disappointed? Yes. Upset? No.

This team hasn't looked very good all year, but they gave a decent Cincy team a game.

Folks it's going to be a tough year. Victory aside, it looked that way from week 1. We just don't have the dogs on defense right now.

nor do we have the coaching to put it all together. This week we figured out on offense we needed to air it out a bit being the first 5 runs we did got stuffed since they knew what we do. But on defense we only made stops when we blitzed and our DBs are so bad we need to blitz every down. And the last drive we didnt blitz at all, we played to lose, not to win. awful

This has been a running theme with Holtz and the staff since they have been here. They seem to turtle up and try not to lose instead of being aggressive and going for the win in key spots.

agree. when you have suspect corners you need to pressure the QB. make him get rid of it before he wants. Snyder loves to play prevent. that's why we give up so many third and longs. rush 3 drop 8. give QB all day to find an open receiver. he gave collaros 6 or 7 seconds on 3rd and 15? from our 20. result. collaros finds a guy in one on one and throws it up for a TD.

they play not to lose. many ECU fans said this when we hired him. they said we might not get blown out a lot but he would never finish off a team.

IDK, it seemed to me like every time we blitzed we didn't get to the QB and he torched us. Dammed if we did and dammed if we didn't. It is pretty obvious that the DLine gets little pressure without help from the blitz.

I actually saw different. when we rushed 3 or 4 he had all day for plays to develop. when we got pressure he was rushed and i felt we were able to get to him with 5 most of the time. he did throw a couple of screens that were timed perfectly but other than that i thought our blitzing worked. it's when snyder took the foot off the pedal that we got picked apart.

Same here. We were in the game. Heck we were in the UConn game. This team is close. But these kids get so worked up, and here comes the Personal Foul penalty. I think the refs went a little overboard today though. Is it possible that there is a bias against USF with the Big East refs?

Snyder has a bend don't break philosophy. Well when playing prevent on the last defensive series, we clearly broke. We are the cellar dwellers and will likely stay that way.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
