However, I also feel that 55 has let up some major 1st downs and TD's in our last 2 Big East games (wait our only BE games). The middle has to be protected against Big East running backs.

So what do you think?

My thoughts are that individual players, except in rare instances, don't cost games. They're not operating in a vacuum out there ... I also think the coaches play the players, at every position, that give them the best chance to win the game ... but I'm sure you'll get plenty of other bites on this thread.

Ding Ding Ding! That's right Flip, it's a team sport and others need to be looked at. To me MLB is one of the most important positions on defense and it has looked poorly managed the last two weeks

BJD should continue on a) because he's the best we have right now, and he hasn't cost us a game yet.  Has he been perfect?  Not even close, but the next man in has not shown in 2011 that he can do any better.

Only option would be putting Sam and MLB and client/weatherspoon on the outside

55 is a liability for us in coverage and has no played the run particularly well either
