Great non-conference win to get the season going followed by wins against mediocre competition...a rise in national polls only to come crashing down by going 0-3 to start conference.

We got our butts handed to us by UC that year at home.  We made it close at the end but it was too late.

We better find a way to win Saturday or we could very easily be looking at 0-5 to start Big East play.

At least in '07 we won our BE opener against WVU (best home game ever).  So we were 1-0 in conference before we started the 3 game in-conference slide.

We are in the last place in the BE.  Dead last. 

Two months ago, we were predicted to finish in the top 3 along with WVU and Pitt.

What happened to all of that early promise we showed? 

People used to blame Leavitt, I am not so sure now...

we started 0-2 last year in the conference with a bad home loss to cuse.

finished up 5-2 with a solid win against clemson.

the wheels fell off for leavitt and now holtz can't get the engine warm.

hot and cold starts.
