Excuse me if someone has mentioned this, I've been trying to comb through everyones perspective new Big East.

Big 10 seems like a place to snatch a team (Illinois) and aim higher then some of this other speculative dribble. Build a north and south division of the Big East if you ask me.

Just a thinking out aloud ???

Let's say they left and ND joined the BE. Would that drive the price up on a BE Televised game?

The Illini would never leave the Big Ten.  No one would ever leave the Big Ten.

And Illinois is a FOUNDING member of the Big Ten.  That means they've been in the conference since 1896.  The Big Ten is the oldest conference and is made up of some of the oldest programs around.  They have a tradition that runs deeper than that of the SEC.  Michigan had already been declared national champions six times before Alabama was declared so even once.  Illinois had won three during that period too.

No Big Ten team will leave.  Before Penn State was added, the last Big Ten team to be added was Michigan State back in 1950, 40 years before.  The core ten teams have been in the conference for 60 years.  The SEC lost two teams (Tulane and Georgia Tech) during that period.

We could add Northern Illinois, an old program that is 60 miles out of Chicago.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.
