Not sure how the Panthers are at DT, but should be a good situation for him.

Now they get to see him twice a year on the other side of the ball. Here's to hoping he makes them regret their decision. They spent a 1st round AND a 2nd round pick on DT's last year ...There was really no decision to be made. I've seen many analysts and commentators saying today that this guy should start right away or close to it. Defensive tackle is an immediate need for Carolina. My guess is that he starts, unless he gets injured (God forbid) and slacks off (which is not in his DNA).
Jihme Posted May 2, 2011 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 4,642 Reputation: 9 Days Won: 0 Joined: 02/09/2006 Share Posted May 2, 2011 Round 3, Pick 65 Terrell McClain, South Florida, DT How he fits: McClain seemed to be the kind of player with more talent than production, and that’s the kind of guy Ron Rivera has done well with in the past. Long-armed and quick, McClain can be disruptive in the middle. The Panthers need a lot of that. He ran sub-5.0 second 40s and lifted 225 pounds 29 times, showing his physical gifts. Now he has to capitalize on them. When he'll play: Unless he just comes to camp and stinks, it’s going to be soon, and many snaps per game. DT was arguably thinner than QB (where the Panthers at least had warm bodies). All the guys at DT previously were rotation players at best. If McClain is the real deal, he keeps guys such as Nick Hayden from playing meaningful snaps. Nothing against Nick, but that helps. didn't realize crolina was so thin at DT. great news for him! i hope he takes full advantage of this opportunity and becomes a great player! go bulls!
