But that is only my OPINION.

I thought the Eastern Michigan Echo was bad, but the Oracle is a ******* joke. Ignore everything it says. That having been said, we have no business going to the Big East with the kind of crowds we pull. We have twice as many students enrolled as my alma mater and USF is in a metro area 80 times the size of Athens, OH. Yet OU is averaging 6,500 a game. The Athletic Department needs to get out there and do something.

We on this board have been over this subject more times than I care to remember. There is a lot of competition for the entertainment time & dollar in Tampa...this is a place where people come from all over the country to be entertained, so you can bet the locals (and students) have plenty of choices, as well.I do agree with the last sentence of your post, and I hope that the Ath Dept continues to make strides towards attracting fans. There is nothing about them that even remotely warrents press time.Jason, are you saying that the Oracle itself even deserves press time? That whole paper should be thrown under a truck. Maybe we need to look at firing whoever's in charge over there & getting somebody with a clue instead of chopping the knees off of athletics everytime something positive happens. There isn't 80 times as many things to do in Tampa, I'm pretty sure of that.
