Why is Fennelly so ridiculously anti-USF?

Their job is to invoke emotion from their readers ... whether it's the story of the homeless, half blind orphan pitching a no-hitter to win the state champioship and securing a full ride to college or the shooting-fish-in-a-barrel mentality of tweaking the noses of the local sports fans ... It's what they do and MF is a master at it.

This is no different then tv or radio here in Tampa... none of them are Bulls fans, none have graduated from USF, and with the exception with the now retired Bob Hite, and dead Tom McEwen, none are from Florida, much less Tampa.

McEwen's gone? Wow. i used to love reading his "food" stories, "Over a breakfast of Grapefruit juice, one poached egg, rye toast, etc etc"

Isn't UF the only major college in Florida with a journalism college?  Lots of UF journalism school grads are on staff at Florida newspapers and TV stations and hence why UF slant exists in much of Florida's media.
