Prolly because we've seen this movie before.  Hopefully they'll rewrite the ending to this one.  And maybe because there seem to be a lot of people in the stands, so maybe they aren't watching from home.

There have been worse years statistically speaking, and record wise.  But what makes this season feel so much worse is the hope.

Coming into the season, there was a glimmer of hope that the program was headed in the right direction. Yes, we thought we would take a step back with losing Jones and Howard, but we still thought we were on the right course.  That certainly turned out to be wrong.

Also, in those bad years, there was usually a game or two we could use to float some hope for the rest of the year and maybe into the next. Look at our first year in the Big East, losing the whole way until upsetting Georgetown to end the season.  This year, there is nothing. No big wins to keep our spirits up. Just disappointment after disappointment.

The only thing I can cling to for hope is the renovations, and that's stretching it.
