He was a pretty solid coordinator for us.If by solid you mean have the #6 defense in an 8 team conference while having 4 guys who got drafted (and another FA) and possibly another 1 or 2 to be drafted this year, then yes he was solid. In any case, best of luck to him.by what measure were we the 6th best defense in the conference? I think it's pretty solid. Not to mention he had success the previous year at Cincinnati, the BE champion. But feel free to misrepresent his body of work in so few words. It's your right. Would you tade Wally for Tresey? Or Snyder for Tresey? The answer in both cases is no. Take out the 2 1-AA games and the scoring average was above 20.true but our scheduling structure has been consistent in 12 game regular seasons. if you're comparing him against our other DC's ( and most DC's at BCS schools ) you need only throw out 1 1-AA. replace it with a non BCS school who maybe tacks on 2 td's to bring the scoring average up to 20.

But I was wrong, we were 5th in both scoring and total defense.http://www.bigeast.org/fls/19400/stats/football/2009/confonly.htm

Look at the conference scoring average i posted above, 28ppg.

Lol ... cygnus usually chimes in after the fact. Surprised there's no separate thread sharing the news of Tresey's hire.
