A surprising move to me.  First, he seemed to have a pretty good thing going up there at UConn.  And Maryland isn't a football powerhouse and a longer shot at a BCS game than in the BE with UConn.  Very surprising.

this was UConn's fault-- they weren't paying their assistant coaches enough based on what I've read.
