Any chance we win a conference game this year?

So does the MBB have any chance at a legit win in the Big East this year?  Watching these early games I see no size, no power, and no speed.  Basically, I see us going for the donut hole in conference wins this year unless we catcht the rare fluke game.

Sorry, not being some naysayer, just putting the words down as I see it.

Considering the closest to a BE team we've beaten has been VCU, it doesn't look promising for anything but a few fluke games .... but you never know. Hopefully, the longer they play together, the better the chances get, but obviously the availability of Gus and Famous will play a factor, also.

DePaul still isn't that good and we play them twice.

I can't see this team winning more than 3 Big East games this season.

We took BYU to double overtime... so this team can excel if they get anything from the PG position whatsoever, meaning more assists than turnovers.  But that will be few and far between.

I'm not expecting many wins in conference this season... which stinks since we have such a good front court, if only we could take advantage of that situation.

Yeah, I think that was the first BE year and we won the very last game.

I'd say there is a chance we could win a conference game this year.  After all, the opposing team could have an airline accident (think Marshall). Or they could all get the flu, or food poisoning (do we ever provide any of their pregame food to them?).  There is also the possibility of injury later in the year and if our opponents are fairly beat up.

Seriously though, I think we may win a "few" games but this could be a very long year for Coach Stan Heath.
