Four curses have been avenged so far under Holtz:

1.  Win at Cincy (or anywhere against them).

2.  Beat Rutgers  (especially after being embarrassed by them the last few years)

3.  Win at UofL (finally)

4.  No mid-season collapse (good riddance)

Yea, while we broke those curses, losing our lossless streak over SU hurts.

Who says coaching doesnt make a difference!  GO SKIP

Doug Marrone, Skip Holtz, and Charlie Strong - perfect examples of how programs can be turned around

Butch Jones, Steve Kragthorpe - perfect examples of how coaching can go bad

Yeah but it hurts less when you realize SU is a legitimate football team now and that it was Holtz's first BE game.

I'll trade a loss to SU for a Rutgers win any day.

Most of our curses are going down.  We still need to beat UCONN on the road next year and maybe defeat Erin Andrews.

+1

I dont understand why people are so ashamed of the Syracuse loss.  they have turned it around and are a solid program.  Same with Louisville.. what a difference a coaching staff can make.

on the flip side, my god Cincy may be the bottom-feeder of the conference

Good point.  Even though the BE is down this year, these are all games I feel that USF would be blown out if Leavitt was at the helm.  I base this on empirical evidence only.
