Bowl Reps in attendance against Rutgers

I would think that bowl reps are smart enough to know that a Wednesday night game will have a few no-shows. I would also think that they have attendance figures for home, away and past bowl games.

Is it me or is the whole "bowl rep/committee" deal one of the biggest scams around? Does a site visit really impact who they chose? Isnt it a pecking order anyway?

If you're on a bowl committee, good for you - -you get to check out these games/stadiums/scenes all on the comittees dime, but what value do they really bring in the selction process?

I know the committees do a great job w/ organizing the bowl itself and supporting activities, but just wondering what benefit these site visits do.

Do you know which Bowls are being represented at the game?

BCS: Fiesta, Orange, Sugar, Rose, MNC

non-BCS: Champs, Meineke, Pinstripe, Birmingham, St. Pete, Liberty

Fantastic, thats what I thought - and confirms my thought that it's one of the best gigs to have!

I recall speaking to a guy from the Outback Bowl comitittee telling me about his Ole Miss site site visit - these guys have a blast and probably one of the best gigs in sports.

They won't be looking at tailgating.

They have dinner over at 1 Buc Place, then they shuttle to the stadium in a police escorted bus then go up to a suite.

Should be every Big East and BCS bowl. This has been done before for the past seasons.
