Exactly ... The filter should do the work.

We are 94th in the country in sacks allowed. I sure hope Fitch and Holtz are doing something to address this problem as well.

Its not just BJ. The whole offense is broken.

he should have asked why he threw 38 times in a game where you're down by 1 score if it weren't for the dumb play call at the end of the half.

He should have asked him if he really believes his running game is the most consistent why does he only call 12 run plays to the running backs who averaged 5.6 ypc that game.

BJ Daniels has strengths and weaknesses. Fitch isn't calling plays to his strengths.

Mississippi State passed the ball 9 times against UF in a close game for an ugly win. That's the way we need to win.

go back and look how many balls were thrown(in the air) for 5+ yards...

80% of bj daniels throws are some sort of WR screen or extremely short curls... they are just glorified runs.

...to add to this... if you want to run the ball, but have no threat of throwing down field, you have to spread the defense out, make them at least worry about the potential of a WR to break a big play (speaking of which, one of BJs TDs this season was on the first pass of the season, to Bogan, on a WR screen). If we don't find some way to spread the defense out, the run will quickly get stopped.

if the D is going man to man on the outside and bringing everyone up to stop the run, you should throw the ball.  a lot.

Our RBs had 12 carries for 67 yards. that's 5.6 yards per carry.

If they sold out to stop the run, they didn't do a very good job of it. Our coaches had more to do with stopping our run game then WVU.

When your lead back averages 1.7 yards per play more than your QB on pass attempts then perhaps they should call more run plays to the RBs.

Give Plancher and Shaw 34 carries and let BJ pass the ball 12 times. Not the other way around. They averaged 5.6 ypc.

actually our RBs averaged 4 yards per carry against syracuse.

23 carries 91 yards.

add back the yardage lost to sacks and overall we averaged 3.9 yards per carry.

your argument is lacking the whole point about wide open receivers.  You really think we can march down the field at 3.9 ypc?

I didn't make an argument. I stated a fact. Without sacks, we averaged 3.9 yards per carry.

You might think sacks should count as runs but I believe they are failed passes.
