I think Skip and his coaches are trying to take BJ to the next level and are trying to force it... personally I think that BJ has petered out and will not get any better and that they are wasting their time.

BJ is regressing with each and every game... at this pace by the end of the season he will have his helmet on backwards.

Why would Holtz be pressing? He builds winners that what his history says he does. In 2 or 3 years when we are celebrating our Big East Championship this will be all forgotten.

with the right personnel I agree. with BJ daniels, skip is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole and Skip is the one pressing. everybody knows BJs strength is not passing the ball.

we passed the ball 38 times(including sacks) last night. we do not have the right personnel to do that.

Our RBs ran the ball 12 times and averaged 5.6 ypc. that's our strength.

Skip is in the first year of his deal. Nothing for him to press about. Although if he has another embarrasing showing next week on national TV and only 15,000 show up for the nationally televised game vs Rutgers he may hear about it.

BJ may be pressing because he is struggling, but also getting help from no one. Besides Bogan, there is not a guy on the team that came in as Scholarship WR. The windows he has to throw in to is pretty small because our receivers get zero separation.

100% on Skip.  Two of BJ's picks were in part because our second best receiver  Landi didn't come back to the ball and couldn't catch another that hit him in the hands.

We don't have the offensive line, receivers, qb, or rb's capable of running THIS system.  This is a spread option team, and with the edge speedsters we've got, there is no reason for us to be less than 6-0 right now.  Holtz is a stubborn fool for not addressing that with playcalling.  Even Lou called him out at halftime for that.

On that throw, you either throw it in front of the receiver, or out of bounds. Not behind him. I agree on the one that hit Landi in the hands, although the throw could have been a little more accurate.

It is both.  I know Daniels is just trying, but he just does not make good decisions.  Skip wants a certain look, and at least he is opening up to Daniels being more option oriented.  I just get so frustrated that we have not taken that speed route down the line.  Bogan can get out there, and outjump almost anyone, let him do it.  We have had success with it, but cannot set it up anymore.

Also, BJ has to learn to look around.  He does not look of defenders, and they learn to set him up.  Two of last nights INTs. were just that, defenders just playing off the QB.

We ran that route last nigh and got a PI call. BJ was under pressure and seemed pretty unsure of himself aftet that 2nd quarter INT, so he and the coaches may not have been looking for it.
