Rutgirls typically peaks during conference play not OOC.

We've been the opposite. Which would you prefer?

Rutgers ususally starts off slowly and plays better at the end of the year. No dobut they will be ready for the Bulls when they play. Should be a good game.

i hope it is a good game for a change

I'd like to see us schedule the same way and not make it worse.

Coach holtz should be able to get us where we want to be during conference play and beyond.

If you're comparing the two based on history, I'd take ours. We, at least, got to #2 in the nation and a Sun Bowl "appearance". What's their way gotten them?

2006, they finished the season ranked #12. Nice to finish a season ranked, something USF has never done. Much of that was on Ray Rice and his incredible season, rushing for over 1700 yards. That was the year they were talked about  making run for the NC, got to the top 10. But, being the birthplace of college football and not have a NC? Their Texas Bowl win was the first in program history! Gotta suck. Nice as it is to finish ranked, would not trade that for the bowl game wins USF has had.

Didn't realize they finished ranked that high .... makes it a little toughr choice but I'd probably still take ours.

FWIW, it was a purely rhetorical question.

I'm not sure either way is the "right" way. Probably depends on which part of the season you're in.

The 'best' situation is probably to combine both teams' previous approaches. Start strong, and battle in conference play (note that they've never been "great" in conference they're just generally better than us.)
