What will happen if that goes down? What will happen to the Big 12 if they loses 3-4 teams?

If Texas is talking going Ind. then the Big10 may be taking more then just Mizzou from them... I doubt they would remain Ind. for long... most likely the SEC will pick them up when they go 14-16 teams over the next few years.

Texas isn't talking THAT seriously about going Independent... but the reasons why they COULD go, may keep them out of the SEC...

Their Athletic Director said that while independence in football would work, they have to have a conference for their other sports.

They are just discussing it.  They are not seriously thinking about it unless the big 12 gets blown up.

I agree-if the Big 12 gets raided and they are not a part of it-no SEC and I think they go solo

There aren't enough people outside of Texas who care enough to watch a Texas Channel on cable. In fact a lot of people wouldn't watch on principle because it has the word Texas on it.

Also there aren't any networks left to give Texas football the kind of deal Notre Dame gets, unless Fox wants to get involved, but they have the baseball playoffs in the way for a few weeks.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
