This article states he asked for his release then was "dismissed"

If you read the article it states that he requested a transfer.  My question would logically be what school did he want to transfer to?

He played QB in high school and RB at Auburn.  We lack depth at both.  We have schollies available.

We could use a solid backup at QB. Bring him in to push BJ. We could also use him at RB. Make it happen Holtz.

he really doesnt seem to the be the type of fit that holtz is looking for at qb.  but hey, we can always use another RB.  we tend to have a hard time finding one.
