Normally those go to the walk ons that have worked hard/worked themselves into playing time. I suspect that, especially this transition year, Holtz is going to minimize turnover and apply the schollies to the next recruiting class when the staff is more up to speed. The exception would be those areas where there is immediate need, QB and WR. Even with all the losses at RB, I still don't think that is an area of need. We still have several, with two more recruits coming in. That's pretty deep.i say apply scholarships to nxt yr class

As it stands we've got 66 scholarship players running around on campus. Assume we have one academic fall-out that means 14 more from the 2010 class are expected to arrive this summer. That puts us at 80 scholarship players, and we're allowed to have 85. There is a strong feeling that 3-5 more could be departing like Sinclair in the next few months...most just transferring. Depending on who those people are we've got about 18 seniors leaving after 2010 season, and I didn't include AJ Love in that group and assumed he would get a 6th year. Assuming no other departures, or additions we'll have room for a 24 person class in 2011. Or you could assume a few guys like Darren Powe, or Aston Samuel, or others will probably be departing that would then shoot us over 26 or more scholarships for 2011, and since we can only take 25, it would be wise to add a couple now if they can can help us.It seems highly likely Bowen will be added, and then maybe one other, depending what comes available, but I doubt much beyond that.Forget Aycock, like Mauve when things don't go their way, they pack up their tents and move. . We need team players not "stars", guys who are willing to compete for a position, not just have it handed to them; guys who will play wherever they are needed. You need to do a little research on Aycock before you come to such a silly conclusion. I am not talking about his football skills, I am talking about him as a person, as a leader, and a kid that overcame more than anyone could imagine. A kid that was told he was Auburn's only RB recruit, and they were moving McCalebb and Fanin. Well both stayed at RB, and they signed the #1 and #9 RB's in the nation in this past class. Why is Aycock 'selfish' for recognizing that the situation got ugly for him in a hurry at Auburn and left?He isn't a 'me' kid, he's a kid that shouldn't have gone to Auburn in the first place and should have stuck to Gtech. After what that kid has been through in his life he's more than deserving of a mulligan!

Like your punk anonymous internet handle...just another tiny, wannabe of a man who hasn't persevered a second of what Aycock has gone through and gets their personal rocks off of insulting a kid without any information.Man, my life literally feels emptier having even engaged in a discussion with you. :doh

Actually might be a good RB in Kelly's offense the way he likes to use that type of back. Got a lot of Isiah Pead in him, in terms of ability a kid that has real good open field wiggle, nice burst, and can flare out and catch passes. sunburned, most know who i am, it's S.Bien...on the drives license and all. I forgot you're another fly-by-nighter, but feel free to look me up and I'll give you the same punking that I provided on the board.

That's one way you could look at fly-by-nighter...the other is just a newbie this board, who comes on for the first time and believes his new found anonymity gives him a license to be a D*CK...guys like you are a dime a dozen, and a very sad lot. They typically come with this new found self-righteous attitude about players, and things, also self-proclaimed experts on everything with out a modicum to back up their theories, and act as if they live a life beyond reproach. Like a typical 18-24 year-old...which describes you and your contributions up to this point. Like a glove, you fit it like a glove. So great to have you aboard. :

Bring him in to push BJ. We could also use him at RB. Make it happen Holtz.Yeah, that BJ Daniels needs to be pushed, what a slacker..... WTF do you mean "push BJ".. I do not see us as weak in the QB slot. Just not much experience behind BJ right now, but this guy will not add experience, he is not QBing at the college level. We have HS QBs on roster.
