USF Football tradition, ESPN is asking

CR, you bring up a 12 year old in your critique, and I ask you, did that kid have any 'traditions'  Neither should we expect the youthful USF Bulls football program.  Instant traditions are by and large gimmicks.

Wow.  3 pages so far and nothing close to a "tradition".  The "running of the bulls" has been around for 2 or 3 years.  If that continues it may become one.  But that happens when people show up to their seats at or after the game starts.  We went into the stadium about 1/2 hour before one of the games and were blasted with unusually loud music and pretty much nothing else until the national anthem. 

No one knows the words to the fight song, there are no live bulls (still wouldn't beat Auburn's eagle), not being on campus there is no special "walk" to the stadium.  Closest thing may be HOT outside the south entrance prior to the game.  At the FSU game, after they scored their only TD, everyone sang the fight song.  There was a 12 year old FSU fan behind us and he knew every word.  Other than the S-O-U-T-H part, no one knows our fight song.

There is the "wave" that starts usually in the 3rd quarter and the booing of the visitors fans when they don't participate.  Does that count?

I understand that, BUT knowing the words to the fight song?  There are only 50 of them outside of the spelling of S-O-U, etc.  And showing up in your seats BEFORE the game?  Not too difficult.  It's a Catch-22.  Why go inside before the game if they aren't doing anything?  And you can't get people to do anything if they aren't in their seats.

And I think a 12 year old probably has developed some "habits".  With a football program you would call them "traditions".

1) Students not showing up expect for big games.

1) Running of the bulls - guys in white pants, shirts, and shoes running around in circles.

Gotta call big time B.S. on the Students not showing up except for big games. They packed out their section the whole year this year.

I knew this was going to piss off somebody, especially those who want to criminalize dissent against the US propaganda machine.

I happen to like it, and so do a lot of other people. It's patriotic to rep your school.
