Listened to Holtz yesterday evening on 1010 ...

Split SRs up in 6 "teams" and they "drafted" underclassmen into groups. These SRs need to be sure the players make meetings, classes, etc. If not, the group will have a Saturday morning(early, I'm sure) "Breakfast Club".

As I put in a post earlier, Holtz seems to bringing some accountability and responsibility to this program.  It was always one of the most lacking qualities our teams seemed to miss each season.  Ensuring that the "team" philosophy is in place and that no one is putting themselves before it should help with the transition and progression of the program to get to that next level.  I understand we are a young team, but this should help build the program as many of our Sophs and JR's next year will be doing the same thing and so on.

That is freaking cool. Awesome idea.

I definitely see it add a huge level of accountability not to mention bring these groups closer together.

After hearing about how Ford was allowed to skip practices left and right it made me wonder how many other players were allowed to play hookie...

This is a good step towards bringing the team together and like it ;)
