The bowl had more people in it this year, without USF playing a "home game." Interesting.

UCF travels better due to them having a football team for more than 20 years longer than us.  It's as simple as that.

We'll catch up, especially if Holtz does well with our guys.

Didn't we sent 13,000+ to FSU? I think we travel fine, but only when the game means something.

UCF fans were pumped about the bowl game period....terrible excuse, but USF fans were not as excited and a lot didn't show up even thought they should have to support the team.

Rutgers had a ton more fans at the game than Memphis did.

This is what saddens me about many of of fans ... they don't care about "supporting" this team/program.

It's too many:

"Hey! That will be fun."

"I'm going to the ___ game against the BULLS."

:Bang

It's not as simple as that! Memphis didn't bring but a small fraction the number of fans that Rutgers brought for this game!!

Difference maker for the overall numbers.

:oldnews ... This has been known since the game was played. How many do you think would have been there for UCF-MiddleTennessee State?

We're nowhere near selling out games against inferior opponents ... much less meaningless games.

Disagree that a BOWL game is meaningless.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
