With all these sinkholes popping up i think the Mayans may have been about 3 years off .....

The Mayans were strawberry farmers that drained the aquifer??

That's what they want you to believe ....

I am SO glad that I don't work in Tampa anymore.  It probably would've taken me 3 hours to get home last night.

This is the thing.  The sinkhole eats the Sun Dome and insurance pays to build a new one.

:yeahbaby

That would be cool. Last time I was there it was 25 year a go, wasn't that impressive back then, can't imagine what it looks like now. It must have had the roof canvas replaced a couple of times by now, right?

Here is the official internal news:

Alert from Physical Plant: There is a sink hole near the sidewalk on 50th Street close to the USF property. It is large – about the size of a pick-up truck. The sink hole is in the City’s right of way. The City and the County have been called in and they are on site. They have informed USF that it is the responsibility of the City and County to take care of the problem. Traffic on 50th Street has been closed as the sink hole has extended under the road. There is also a water leak in the area. This water pipe belongs to the City. County and City work crews are on scene to take care of the sink hole/water pipe leak, which could take up to one week to complete.

They turned the roof into a hard top a while back.  They still have the revolving doors though!
