Is it solely related to players off the field problems? This guy was a recruiting machine at Tennessee, and a lot of that talent came from Florida. Compare his record to Butch Davis's.The truth is that you are not going to win any championships without thugs. That is just the way it is.USCUFOklahomaTexasBamaLSUOhio St.MiamiAll winning programs. Quite a few thugs. That's what happens if you want to win in this sport. I don't think Fulmer's teams were that bad.

And Fulmer isn't close to my top choice, but if you lose a few scholarships, the worst players on scholarship leave first, not any of the good or up and coming players. I think theres a few other concerns first with a head coach coming in than an apr score. You guys would be happier with a big east title and a bad apr score. While Fulmer was coach, the Tennessee team had a number of players arrested for criminal activity, although admittedly fewer than many of the Volunteers' SEC rivals. The University of Florida and University of Georgia have attracted national attention for the high number of arrests and criminal charges faced by football players under current head coaches Urban Meyer and Mark Richt. He's a proven winner at a big time program in the toughest conference. This hire would be a huge step forward in the development of our team. If not, it may take 2-4 years of rebuilding before USF is good again.

Who knows. All I know is I'd like him so it ain't happenin

He is an unbelievable recruiter. The Fulmer cup garbage was blown our of proportion and that guy had less players in trouble then most of the SEC, How do you argue with this???1992 Tennessee 4–0* 2–0* 3rd (East)* W Hall of Fame 12 121993 Tennessee 10–2 7–1 2nd (East) L Florida Citrus 11 121994 Tennessee 8–4 5–3 2nd (East) W Gator 18 221995 Tennessee 11–1 7–1 2nd (East) W Florida Citrus 2 31996 Tennessee 10–2 7–1 2nd (East) W Florida Citrus 9 91997 Tennessee 11–2 7–1 1st (East) L Orange 8 71998 Tennessee 13–0 8–0 1st (East) W Fiesta †1 11999 Tennessee 9–3 6–2 2nd (East) L Fiesta †9 92000 Tennessee 8–4 5–3 2nd (East) L Cotton 25 —2001 Tennessee 11–2 7–1 1st (East) W Florida Citrus 4 42002 Tennessee 8–5 5–3 3rd (East) L Peach — —2003 Tennessee 10–3 6–2 T-1st (East) L Peach 16 152004 Tennessee 10–3 7–1 1st (East) W Cotton 15 132005 Tennessee 5–6 4–4 4th (East) — — —2006 Tennessee 9–4 5–3 2nd (East) L Outback 23 252007 Tennessee 10–4 6–2 T-1st (East) W Outback 12 122008 Tennessee 5–7 3–5 5th (East)
