What's up with Godfrey losing a star on rivals? Wasn't he a four star just up till today? He also used to rated as the 4th best Dual Threat QB. Did he not have a good year?

Yeah I know but, he was rated a 4* on rivals and ahead of Carnes. I'm just assuming he didn't have a very stand out year. Does anyone thinkg that he'll actually be a QB at USF?

5' 11" and 167lbs.

just in the past few days he feel behind carnes.

my friend who is sports broadcaster in miami did 3 of his games, said he is a very smart player.

Godfrey was a 4 star on Rivals at 8.  He had a pretty good year too.  Oh well. 

Of course that was before he committed to USF.  >:D

More conspiracy?  His teammate Brandon Gainer was downgraded to 3 stars also.  As of right now hiw other teammate we're after Josh Reese is 4 stars.

Reese looks like he's between us and UCF. Wow he's probably gonna get dropped down to a 2*.

I watched Godfrey on youtube and he's no BJ as far as speed and scambling but he does look very comfortable and smart with the ball. Gets the ball out of his hands VERY quickly.

The reality is that some guys get stars based on who's recruiting them or who they sign with.  If USF establishes themselves with several BCS appearances and wins then I'd guess our recruits will get better ratings while we'll also attract some truly higher level recruits.  It's really a mix of both. 

I like our commits thus far.

Rivals updated many of their rankings on 12/14, so I don't think in Godfrey's case they lowered him to 4-stars because of USF. After all, they previously raised carnes to 4-stars when they knew he was a USF verbal. I think it's just a coincidence. Having said that, I have my doubts about other players in previous years who gave a verbal to USF, such as Andre Hall who was 5-stars and suddenly dropped to 4 for no apparent reason.

Carnes went up a star because what he has done on the field. And also UGA an other big schools is hot after him.
