By far NIU's biggest offensive threat. Power back, which should come in handy against your fast defense.

dude give it a rest. This will be the biggest blowout of all the bowls. We may suck, but we are not as bad as a MAC team

Classy there 83.

Welcome to the board NIU.

We had some defensive injuries late in the year, but Kion Wilson, if healthy, will be our biggest force to stop the running game. He's a solid MLB and tends to be one of those guys that is involved in pretty much every tackle. Our interior DL can be handled, but you will have to establish some sort of passing game to keep us from stacking the line.

I think our offense will do really well in this one. In games where we have had the "athletic" upper hand this year, we have done really well. Our speedy receivers can get behind the defense on the sidelines, and BJ Daniels has the arm to throw them further away from coverage. Daniels of course is also going to be a big problem for a mid western type defense to contain.

Your guess is as good as mine on our RB situation. If Ford works hard and gets in good graces with the coaches, he is a guy that can pound it for 4-5 yards a carry, 20 carries a game. He also has "big play" ability, but it will be after he wears down the defense a little.

Hey NIUHuskies, welcome to the board.

See that little green button down on the left side that says ignore? It works.

that works against us as our DLINE is suspect against the run.

Kion needs to step up in this one...

im sure the coaches are game planning for this guy.

Im done with Kion Wilson he runs his mouth all year, especially during Rutgers week and doesn't back it up. Im just done hearing about our defense. Its not that good. Next year will be much improved hopefully we keep our comments to ourselves. Lets just win you can talk afterwards

If they implement a power running game, we may have our hands full.  We havent been able to stop a power running attack ever since... well, ever.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
