Isn't it?

TCU and Cinci both have GREAT teams and both have GREAT wins this season...

Maybe they can't beat Bama or Texas but nobody will ever know... Who is to say they don't deserve a shot...?

Imagine if we were in this position... I would be enraged...

I definitely agree.

I'd be pissed, but not as pissed as Cinci would be if Nebraska beat Texas.  If TCU actually went to the NC game over them, it would be simply unbelievable.

It's really the only real sport that doesnt get a clear cut champion, it's unfortunate the BCS conference schools love it this way, it all boils down to $$$$$.

FCS has a 16 team playoff, although they only play 11 regular season games. Imagine if the FBS did something similiar, although including all the conferences would water it down a bit but imagine.....

1. Alabama

16. Troy

8. Ohio St

9. Georgia Tech

5. Florida

12. Penn St.

4. TCU

13. LSU

6. Boise St.

11. Va Tech

3. Cincy

14. Cent Mich

7. Oregon

10. Iowa

2. Texas

15. ECU

This was a year that the season lacked the big upset from the top teams. Cincy was 1 second from going to the national title game but Texas pulled it out.

Well technically aren't all sports pointless? I mean they are just pasttimes. Does anyone remember who won the pentathlon in the Greek Olympics in 472 BC ? Me neither  :D

I like how the BCS let TCU and Boise State face each other in the Fiesta Bowl, so they could avoid any embarrassing upsets of any teams from BCS conferences.  The BCS is a mafia, and while we are a part of it, I just feel that the rest of the member conferences are looking for any reason to kick the Big East to the curb.

Texas handled their business and went 13-0 and remained in the Top 5 the entire year, they deserve to be in the title game. Now if Texas loses then Cinci should be in title and if Texas and Cinci lost TCU should be there.

I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but the BCS is the most undemocratic, ridiculous process in America. Think about if this process was used in high school or pro sports. Imagin at the end of the regular season the NFL just selected the teams with the two best records to play in the Super Bowl. It would never be welcomed. So why is it okay in college?
