I like the way Selvie represents the team, but the truth is he made his name in 2 games in his Sophomore year against bad competition.  He had 2 or 3 good games and has disappeared since.

Yep...Selvie's a 3rd round pick at best now.  He'll have to really prove himself in the combine, though.  Gave up millions to come back for his senior season.

He was only projected a a third rounder or worse last year.  That's why he did not come out.  PProbably where he should be this year.  Not sure if he will be a first day pick even.

with the play of JPP you would have expected a monster year for Selvie. if not in sackes then in disruption of the other teams offense, have not seen it.

Is he still being doubleteamed?

Guys usually get better as they get older in college.  Doesnt seem to be the trend at usf for a reason that seems pretty obvious to me.

You are correct unfortunately.  He had like 8.5 sacks in 2 games, ended up with 14.5 or so that year and nothing since.  He still draws double teams on occasion, but not every play.  He's down to 4th or 5th round.

Selvie is a 3-4 OLB moonlighting as a DE in college.  He is also a prime example of why the dining facilities are so **** important to get done ASAP.  Honey bun diets aren't going to give you what you need to have the necessary bulk to be an elite DE at this level.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
