Do we need one of these threads every week?

USF can not afford to fire Jim Leavitt, he is the best that USF can afford at this time. The paradox is that USF needs to win in order to get the money to get a better coach.  As long as finishing in the middle of the conference is satisfactory then there is really no reason to fire him. He is coaching to expectations.

But the problem is we overpaid for CJL.

He is a 1aa coach at best.

until we get someone that can do better than .500 in conference, i'd say YES.

fire the mf'er.

Hehe...  Can't someone just bump last week's so you have an epic 1000 page thread going?  Seriously though, if you say fire Jim Leavitt shouldn't we have a replacement and why?

Heres an idea.  Why not make an offer to Jon Gruden?  He lives in Tampa, seems to like the Bulls.  Why not?  If you hire someone like him and let him choose his own coaching staff then you will see an immediate turn around.

you really think Gruden's ego would allow him to work at USF...?

WOW.  That would be hilarious.  He would have to be in the same town playing in the same stadium as the team that fired him?  Hmm...

"I don't care who ya are.  Syracuse is a pretty good futbull team."
