What does the game mean to your football team?

"Two undefeated teams.... great showcase for both programs. Whoever wins gets a leg up on the conference."

How are you selling this game to your players?

"It isn't hard... back into Big East play... Every game magnitude is that much bigger... how can you not be excited"

What do you see watching Pike on film?

"Explosiveness.  Not only Tony but their entire offense... People do not run this guy down... great command of the offense."

What have you been impressed with BJ?

"Passion for the game... loves to be out there... just a playmaker... he'll just get that much better... exciting to have with the ball in his hands."

Even if a Big East team goes undefeated, it won't be in NC. How do you react?

"It's a long season... take one game at a time... at the end of the year, it will be cleared up... Big East doesn't have to defend itself..."

They talked more about whether a Big East team should be in the NC... Trevor Matich said they should be in the conversations, but like WVU in 2007 would need help...

then they moved to OU-TX...

Leavitt was able to play into the hype a little for a change, only downplaying the national championship question which I agree is completely ridiculous to talk about at this point.

Gotta love Jim Leavitt.

maybe from ESPN but the local news stations have been talking about the game A LOT.  Fox 13, CBS, NBC have all had bits on USF's promotions of the game in their newscasts today.

Ugh...They showed highlights @ Cincy last year where we went first and goal and got no points.
