A letter to CJL

Dear Coach,

In very short order your USF football team will be playing the Florida State Seminoles.  More than anything, I hope your Bulls win this game.  However, the Seminoles are a very good team and you will be playing in their house.  It's big and loud and has great atmosphere.  In all likelihood, if the Bulls win this game, it will be by only a few points.

However, the Bulls are favorites in their next two games which are both against cupcake opponents.  Therefore, if you would please do me a favor and have Delbert kick multiple field goals over the next two games I would appreciate it.  For example, if the Bulls are beating Western Kentucky by 21 points, send Delbert on the field to kick a field goal on first down.  Have him kick from the 20 yard line, from the 1 yard line, and from the 30 yard line.  Have him kick of first down, second down, third down, and fourth down.

If the Bulls are to beat the Seminoles, you have to know the capabilities of your second-string, bad kicker.  If he can't kick a short field goal on first down against Western Kentucky, he can't kick a game winner against Florida State.  And the Bulls will likely need him if they are to beat Florida State.  Please consider this opportunity.

if you kick on 1st down and miss, you give up possession.  that would be retarded, and the Bulls would get blasted for poor sportsmanship.

although if we take the lead early, i see no problem with kicking field goals, even on 4th and short inside the redzone.

Wambulance is right, get him some french cries and a weineken to wash them down too. 

I dont know the fella but i think stringfellow is being sarcastic with his post.  But really his point is we need him to see as many game time, real time kicks before he gets out there when they are in closer game/better competition situations.  I dont think he really wants them to kick on 1st down, its a joke people....relax.
