Well, I think if you're making a case for entry into the Big East, you might want to find a way to include the football program as a good reason....maybe in place of "Incredible academics" NOBODY's buying that one!

:ROFLMAO

didn't USF have a losing record the season before being invited to the Big East? that throws out that argument

WoW... I had no idea that the Orlando market was that high up on the list... from an economic stand point which would factor more from a Big East market stand point... TV Audience or extra Bowl Game...

???

Um. Nope.

USF was "invited" to join in November of 2003.  At the time USF was 5-3 including some great overtime wins over Louisville and Cincinnati... the "season before being invited" USF was 9-2 and almost went to a bowl game ... in our SECOND YEAR of I-A ball.

813, don't worry about their merits, worry about our viability.  Point is, we are the most attractive and lucrative when we look at the totality of the circumstances.  What we offer is attractive and is a trump card to any other competition. The proof is in the pooding.

Yep, a losing record twice in its history, counting USF's very first year.  Looks like the Big East made a good play.  Now looking at UCiF's 25-30 year history, how's it stack up?

Dang,

13 losing seasons since 1979 and four in the last six.  Ouch!  I never bothered to look at UCiF history, but if my source is accurate, you got a lot of nerve mentioning a rare USF losing season.

1) He should at least get our merits correct.

2) You don't offer a trump card to any other competition.  And since the Big East commissioner pretty much eliminated C-USA teams it's rather moot.

3) What the hell is "pooding"?  Do you mean "pudding"?  (Yup, you clearly went to UCF).

He has even more nerve getting it wrong.
