It's sad.  I really have nothing against a fan from another school if they are an alumni.  Even UF.  If you went to school there and graduated or completed your education there or whatever, then fine.  You should be a fan, and that's quite alright.

I agree if you went to UF or and alumni you should be happy for your team.

But I can't stand the bandwagon fans.

The only bandwagon fans I like are the people who don't have a true affiliation with any school and decide to be USF Bulls fans.  Maybe because they live in Tampa, or they like our story, or whatever.  If they want to buy Bulls gear, represent, and buy tickets (season tickets preferably) then I welcome them--as long as they make the commitment and stay with us during the down years, and as long as they don't flip back to another team when times are bad--then they are welcome to stop by my tailgate and have a beer any day.

Exactly--if you don't have a school (or your school competes at a different level, doesn't have athletics, etc.) feel free to pick one. But if that's not the case, be true to your school, through thick and thin.

Ya know, you used to actually have to go to a concert to get a concert t-shirt of your favorite band...  now they sell the crap anywhere.

The thing is, that some of these idiots couldn't tell you one person on the team... they just think they're part of a clique because they bought a **** uf shirt at the flea market...      It's laughable.

My company has a lot of agents across the country.  I've gotten at least a dozen "Hey, I bet you're happy that the Gators won!" calls today.

Umm, no.  Living in Florida does not a Gaytor fan make.

Maybe there are two types of bandwagon fans, those that pick a team to support they are ok.

Then the ones that just jump onto the recent team that is winning they suck :)

Yeah I love it when I know more about their team and I am not even a fan of their team.

My mother in law is a Gaytor fan, did not go there, but has an alumni license plate on her car.  She basically jumped on the bandwagon in the early 90's when Spurrier started winning.  Makes me sick.

You should have to show proof of alumni status to buy alumni anything.  That's just ridiculous.
