CJL is just too loyal to players that were recruited before we became a nationally ranked team. Delbert is just not a big game player. I respect the guy for trying but it is what it is....

That kickoff out of bounds immediately killed any momentum we had at that point and at that point i just knew Pitt was going to come down and score. Delbert's one bad play of the night just happened to come at one of the worst times possible.

the file dis what, 40 yards wide? How hard is it to keep the ball in bounds??? We overcame TONS of mistakes that game to take the 21-20 lead. That was the nail in the coffin.

Ahh, Alvarado, how quickly people blame you.

Maybe it wasn't the illegal kick, which gave them probably about 10 extra yards vs. a return. Maybe it was the fact that were torched by a skilled RB and burned almost every play by a secondary seriously missing Jenkins and Williams.

I dont think it had a lot to do with the  10 (probably closer to 20) yards, it was the fact that he killed ALL of the momentum that the Bulls had after they scored. It wasn;t even like the kick took a bad bounce. He shanked it off of a freaking tee.

I called Delberado "Momemtum Killer" after that punt....

We were WILD....and in a matter of a second....we were all quiet.

I think he was just a little too excited.  He's a very good punter, but that one sucked....

What killed the momentum was Pitt scoring in about 3 plays.  Had he not kicked it out of bounds would it have taken 4?
