and goes undefeated (I know, I know about next week), do they get a BCS slot which opens up a 6th CUSA slot for the bowls?

To answer your question, IF Louisville goes undefeated, I believe they will get a BCS bowl.

My thinking (even in my little head, GKF) is they get the bid over an undefeated Utah or Navy simply because of Miami.

Louisville and USM both are undefeated... do they play each other...  if not... then what happens?

They do not play each other.

They do not play each other, but Louisville would have to be ranked higher in the polls that matter for BCS consideration with a win over Miami.  Remember they would be officially co-champions of CUSA as the league has no tiebreaker rules.  BCS gets first pick and Liberty bowl would get second pick.

We could have 2 undefeated CUSA teams, both ranked, by the end of the season.
