If youre gonna be some internet guy that claims he's been on the forum longer than us, you shouldve learned to root for the right team by now  ::)

:2cents I have heard UCF fans talking at a local pub about how UCF needs to beat BC (which they did not), and next year beat Miami (which you won't) so that UCF can play USF again...

Not only are y'all obsessed with us on your board, but your fans go around talking loudly in public about how bad you want to play us again - don't kayfabe, y'all are all USF marks in disguise  :-*

Maybe if your athletic department didn't treat it like your super bowl and your coach didn't go around whining about the series ending we wouldn't.

At first I thought it was their internet posters, but I have heard the following from a couple UCF alums who I work with, after the latest game:

Guy 1:

I don't care if we go 1-11, as long as we beat USF.  (Said this every year for the last 4 years)

I don't see why USF doesn't see this as a rivalry.

Your school needs a rival, we need a rival, it makes sense.

The only reason you guys won't play us is cause you're chickenshits.

This was our super bowl.

Guy 2:

I would trade the CUSA title to beat you guys.

I would take 1-11 as long as we we won this year.

You guys still don't have an OCS.

Our OCS is better than the wins you guys have.

Guy 3:

I only went to UCF I grew up an Alabama fan.  USF should have kicked UCF's ass, I'm surprised it was close.

Guy 4:

I only went to UCF I grew up an LSU fan.  USF should have kicked UCF's ass, I'm surprised it was close.

There are some fans who might get into it a lot more...but I've seen USF grow from the beginning and for most UCF fans...USF is seen as a new program still.  A program that has done a great deal in a short time, no doubt....but I grew up going to some of the biggest college football games in the state and think that both of our schools aren't quite at that level for us to call USF our Super Bowl.  But to each their own.  One or two on the internet don't speak for everyone...it's all about perception.  I live in tampa and like to chime in to keep you all in check, too!!  ;)

Haha...Thanks!  I was going to ask you all about that.  I am going out to UTEP...flying out tonight.  I'm curious and saw that the stadium is built into a mountain.  I know some of you got to go to that bowl last year...it seems like it'll be a pretty fun time.  And yes...I will be having some their mexican out there!!
