The Fins do pretty well, they have always had a higher average than the Bucs, (yes I know the stadium here is tiny) but the Dolphins were 8th in the NFL last year and were 1-15.

AND NO THEY DONT HAVE A NEW STADIUM.

Which makes that statement pretty much a non-factor .....

How do you think they would draw if they had had the years of ineptitude the Bucs had?

As for the Dolphins -vs- Bucs attendance numbers a percentage of seats sold is better then actual numbers. The Bucs % is 99.5 and the Phins % is 94.3.

we have more seats to sell and were 1-15.... the Bucs were a playoff team. Just look at how hard it was to sell out the game vs NY.

which also means that the bucs did not sell .5 % of the seats availabe, yet the dolphins averaged more than the Bucs could hold.

Miami-Dade county has 2.5 million people.  Throw in Broward and Palm Beach, and you have over 5.3 million.

Hillsborough county has 1.1 million.  Throw in Pinellas and you have 2 million.

With 3.3 million more people in the Dolphins market, you should have that stadium sold out every single game, every year.

well if you are throwing in Palm Beach, then we need to throw in Polk and Manatee.

The NFL fanbase arguement is silly.

It's function of stadium size.  On top of that Miami just opened a brand new stadium.  A few 1-15 seasons will wear that away quickly.

Miami opened a new stadium? You must be a huge sports fan. We have been in the same stadium since 1986. That new stadium luster sure is keeping the stands full.

My bad.  I forgot, UM just changed stadiums.  The Fins haven't been there for years.

I conceed this point.

Throw in Pasco and Hernando too.  You're still a full 1.5 million ahead.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
