On a lighter note, this whole missing cat thing reminds me of a couple of the cat-related bits that Steve Martin used to do.  Play those for the (soon-to-be- ex) girlfriend to cheer her up a bit.

One of the bits was about giving his cat a bath, the other one he starts the joke with "My girlfriend has the best *****...(outraged) OH COME ON, I WAS TALKING ABOUT HER CAT.  You can't say anything these days without someone taking it wrong..."  Great ending to that one.

Cats always wander off - usually looking for some action.  It might be a nice segue for you to get some before it's gone - as Dad says.

I do feel really guilty about it. The cat made it back.  ;D

I just lost it whenever he peed all over the bathroom. For some reason he can't ever make it to the litter box.

Learned an important lesson.

Unless the cat is just old and senile he/she probably has either:

1.  Crystals in the urine: or

2.  Urinary tract infection (UTI).

If the cat spends a lot of time licking his/her junk, it is probably a UTI.  If the cat takes forever to pee, probably crystals.  If it exhibits neither behavioral tick, get your sister to clean the litter box every day . . . . some cats are freakishly weird about the cleanliness of their litter box.  If that doesn't help, make him an outdoor cat (unless your sister declawed the cat).

Carolina Bull loves cats. . . . . and fu*king women.
