USF basketball fans. Does USF "get it" or am I wasting my time...

If you are hoping for a one year turn around then forget it, but if you are looking to buold a program over the next 4 or 5 years you are definitely not wasting your time.  It will be a step by step by step process, but I think the foundation is set.  You have a good coach that is motivated to get to post season play (and in his words, "not just the BE Tournament").  He understands what it takes to compete in a tough conference.

Next year, for the first time in about 5 or 6 years, you have several proven, experienced players coming back.  The last several years years it has been 1 proven player surrounded by a bunch of question marks of who would even be filling out the starting lineup. 

I think we are still a few players away and a couple of years from an NCAA bid, but that foundation is still set now.

The only "turn around" I am looking for is to be in the BE tournament or, heck, even competing to be in it! That would be a nice step forward and something we can build on for the following year.

Yes, I'm tired of USF being a basketball dormat. Wondering if anyone at USF actually has a brain and realizes that every year there is a thing called the NCAA tournament? Been there what? 2 times in 30 plus years. That is something special. And, for all you Green and Gold hazed over so-called, "I'm the greatest USF fan EVER because I never say anything bad about the team/coaches/school," good for you. Alumni just like many of you. And, the basketball program has been a total JOKE for years. So, wondering if someone got their head out of their ass isn't such a strange question.

Oh, and let's see...Ohio State...3 trips to Championship game in 6 years....1 national championship. Trip to NC game in b-ball last year too. Plus, they're already stacked again. Most likely landing the #1 QB recruit...hell, recruit period...in all the land very soon. USF would be falling all over itself for that kind sports-related success in their history...much less last 7 years.

But, you guys just keep on feeling great about yourselves because you're a better fan than I am.

You are an idiot jfc, the school has attempted to get back to the dance. Making the wrong choice in hiring doesnt help...joining the Big East at a low point is even worse. The goal is obviously to get to the top, and if you cant see the progress Stan Heath has made you are blind... which you admit in the first post... you dont even pay attention to USF basketball until its time to troll.

what is wrong with the Sun Dome? What would you like? I think the Sun Dome is a very good basketball facility. When that place is full the atmosphere is amazing.

The only big change we need is better consessions.

Outside of better concessions, let's make a list of what needs to be improved:

better seats and one color would help

suites

hanging scoreboard

practice facility (been mentioned already by others)

All of these things should be on the way, but we do need them in a hurry. You look around the league and seeing teams play in nicer looking arenas and you have to winder if the Sun Dome is holding us back a bit until it gets renovated.
