What?  They won't allow you to get two or three jobs real quick, work like a dog and earn the money yourself, make the arrangements, travel to the game, buy them souveniers, and keep in touch the whole time so they won't worry that something bad happened to you?

Have you thought to give them the money so that they could go?  That would be a nice gesture and a great Christmas gift!  I know that you are serious, but most of us here couldn't afford to travel to Connecticut.  And can't afford to go to the bowl game.  So you are in good company.

speaking of which-- every time I know of that smazza attended an away game, we've lost.

The ones I know of for certain are Arkansas and Bama. Maybe that was a coincidence but I'd like to see what other away games (and even home games since traveling to Tampa is an away game for him) smazza has been to and what his overall record is in that regard.

I only recently had my road record go to .500 at 12-12. Of course-- I went to plenty of "payday" games during those years that were pretty hard to expect wins from.
