Was it me or did the band not play as much as normal on Sat night

altho i did hear a few tunes i hadn't heard before, or hadn't heard in a while.

Sounded that way to me also. H.O.T. not playing as much allowed me to hear the visiting team cheerleaders and crowd (SE-corner). I (NW side-almost directly across from H.O.T.) normally can't hear them due to our band.

I even got nervous at several points of the game when the PA music would not STFU while UofL had the ball. I thought for sure we were going to get flaged for that somehow.

I'm in the SE corner so I've alrready come to conclusion I won't ever be able to hear our band in that section.  It sucks but its true.  Unless they get mic'd, we simply can't hear them over a murmur.

good idea, but it has to do with field access, i believe.

Yeah, south endzone can almost never hear HOT. but I definately noticed the increase in music over the PA. They really need to invest in some new music, some of the stuff gets old after hearing it for the 20th time in a game.

Is field access the reason they moved them? or did it have to do with having those seats available for students? I loved having the band next to us when we used to sit in student and they were right in the middle.

Yes, it's field access. Getting 300+ people through the crowd at the concessions(before and after halftime), down the ramps, and through the tunnels would be a nightmare...
