Enough, back to Joe's point.  We do have a handful, if I may borrow the expression, of chicken littles that always cry out for someone to be fired after a loss....very strange behavior, but that is the essence of message  board anonymity.  The ones I pity are those that lock onto firing a coach (or benching a player, or some weird issue) and never let up so that their own egotistical needs are fulfilled.

Funny, but sad.

excellent point--- I get the impression that they throw that seed (among many others) out there early enough so they can be the clown who gets to say "see-- I told you so! I am the smartest poster here-- I saw it all along. You people need to listen to every word I have to say. I am a genius. I know exactly how to fix everything wrong with USF... blah blah blah"

save it for your commune, douchebag

There are a handful of guys on these boards you can't take very seriously.  They think they are the most intelligent, most informed, and most important people and fans out there.

I'm particularly concerned about this fan mob mentality.  My Little League rookie team (ages 5-7) lost in the first round of pool play Monday to the tournament favorite.  We gave up two runs in bottom of 6th to lose 9-8.

I'm sure that despite two more pool games to be played in our bracket there are parents calling for my head...the pressure.

Word is that there's an online petition to have you removed of your managerial duties ....

That's okay, I'm being proactive.  I'm consulting with MAB, flsportsfan83, Ari, smazza and Mooby on how to proceed.  I'm sure with that kind of "know-how" I'll be just fine.

And if that doesn't work, you can get MikeG, TripleB, and E.T. to educate all those folks how coaching has NOTHING whatsoever to do with the outcome of games, and that TRUE fans go along with whatever happens -- never EVER questioning or criticizing.

Hopefully one of these two approaches will work.

That approach would certainly be in his best interest in this case ...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
