Taking down goal posts

Call me "anal", but it kind of Irks me when the RJ rent-a-cops come out a few minutes before the game ends and form a "Human" Baricade around the goal post and then take them down as soon as the game is over.

Give me a break...Fans aren't going to rush the field unless it is a major victory.

It bothers me as well, its insulting to our fans. They arent practicing for Friday night, they've done it every game for at least two years. For example, beating McNese St. last season, after the scare of us almost losing to them I took it as them saying "you all are so **** stupid, we have to do this" It bothers alot of people around me at games as well*

Not just students, also when I sit with my parents as season ticket holders it annoys people.

Let them guard the goal posts...if you avoid the tasers (the real problem) dash towards midfield.  That looks better anyway...they replay the Rutgers rush to midfield TOOO much, but it looks good.

OK...you're anal.

The great thing about this board is it keeps me soooooo informed about the minutia of USF football.

Maybe it has to do with the growth of the board, but this place seems to be loading up with

chronic complainers...beefs with the beef studs...complaining about the cops...complaining about the

crowd standing...complaining about the crowd sitting...complaining about the signage...complaining

about the lack of signage...making noise when we have the ball...not being loud enough on defesnsive

stands..complaining about bracelets and now...the icing on the cake is the 'goal post squad' and

how that is such an insult and detraction from the game.

A major victory? What constitutes a 'major victory'? I'd be willing to bet that -

assuming you were allowed to rush the field, without the threat of electro-punishment -

that there would be people every single win, regardless of opponent,  who would jump that

wall and opt for those precious few seconds of jumbo-tron fame. Because they're

such huge football fans and just have to celebrate with the team.

Insulting to our fans? Aren't these the same fans that we complain about doing the wave, being

quiet on defense, loud on offense, sitting for the game, standing for the game, leaving before the

last tick of the clock and arriving after the game is in progress? I doubt that, if that's a fair assessment

of our fanbase, that they are mightily offended by logistical issues in the  last 30 seconds of play. But..

.maybe I'm wrong...maybe we do have sensitive fans. :wah
