Smart player and he has great hands.  You can see he likes to help Grothe out.

Wow that was a great highlight video, I forgot how many big plays Taurus had last year.  Imagine this season he's bigger, stronger, and faster....and become a real leader.  He'll be fun to watch as a junior.

Holy freaking cow.... That was an amazing video for several reasons:

#1 - Grothe can pinpoint pass with the best of them....

#2 - Johnson can run, cut, and juke like no other bull..

#3 - Holy crap, I can't believe the FIU game last year... It brought back memories of leaving that game with a very sick stomach, thinking to myself wow we almost lost to FIU...

#4 - Johnson is not a smack talking chest sticking out player.. He just gets the job done..

#5 - Most of our best running plays came from the WR + QB, man if Ford or Planchier get going we will be dangerous..

With a name like Taurus----- He was born to be a bull!

Ditto. TJ needs more touches. I hope we keep him on the field more often this season.

TJ single handedly won the FIU game for us.  That end around was one of the better runs I've ever seen, that DE he spun out of the tackle on, Antwan Barnes was drafted, and then after that move he puts an absolutely sick drop step on another guy to freeze him in his tracks and nearly breaks his ankles trying to tackle him, then he goes low to throw off another would be tackler that was much bigger then him, then absolutely accelerates from 0 to 60 past many defenders that had a line on him into the end zone.  That was frickin amazing, just simply amazing stuff.  His TD catch to win the game is the making of legendary status as everyone knows he went to the sideline and told Matt to throw to him because he was open.  He was, Matt throws a beauty on a rope and Taurus catches it and accelerates past a would be tackler to the end zone.  He had over 100 yards receiving in that game too, and caught a nifty catch to set up our first TD too.

TJ showed some serious glimpses of greatness last season as a true soph.  He's now bigger, faster, and stronger....so imagine the possibilities.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
