Major League Baseball and Fox just announced that The World Series game two will be on Thursday night Oct 25 -- competing against ESPN's nationwide ACC VirginiaTech/Boston College Game.

Saying people don't watch baseball is one thing....saying they won't be watching Game 2 of the WORLD SERIES is just plain dumb.

i would personally watch anything but baseball, its just not as fun watching it on t.v., i can't get into the sport of baseball from my house, i need to be there to enjoy it.  won't affect the game that much

Talking about the ACC, it looks like they may be moving their football championship game from Jax and Tampa is one of the candidates.

Charlotte makes alot of sense for this game.  Really all but 2 schools (UM and BC) are in driving distance to Charlotte, so attendance shouldn't be an issue.  Neither of those schools travel well anyway, so it doesn't matter where the game is played.

It's the World Series, I am sure it will effect the ratings of the ACC game.

This is really odd. Game 2 on thursday?   The world series almost always starts on a saturday, continuing with game 2 usually always on that Sunday.

I guess they're changing things this year? Oh, and this will definitely cut into the ratings of the football game.
