ESPN U Added to Brighthouse Cable in Orlando

What the hell???

Orlando gets ESPNU on what appears to be a trial one month basis. I suppose BHN will track the viewership and determine whether or not to make it a permanent fixture, but when the hell are we going to get it???

I have a feeling at least one of our games this year will be relegated to ESPNU. If that is in fact the case, and its a road game, it sucks to have to go to a bar to watch. Anyone with any inside iggys on BHN Tampa getting the U?

Well, if its only available at a bar to watch the game, you gotta go to that bar.  I remember the "old" days of USF football where you couldn't find it on TV anywhere.  Basically we'd be like every other college out there.  Its really not that big of an issue.

The point is, if the company is going to offer it to some of its markets, it should be offered in all of its markets. Thats the BS part of it. And, obviously, if the game is on ESPNU and we do not yet have it, I will be at a bar watching, ala Louisville from this past year. The point is, I would rather watch it in the spacious comfort of my own home (if its a roady, if its a home game, I am there no matter what).

I'm going to switch to Verizon Fios just so I can get ESPNU once august rolls around.

For anyone...How is Fios internet compared to Brighthouse?

I would switch to Verizon, but I figure I'll lose more coverage by losing Catch 47 then I will by not having ESPN U. I hope Brighthouse adds it sometime soon.

Generally they choose markets on response of people requesting it. Obviously the Orlando market had a lot.

I am actually hopeful that the rollout is based upon a test-run in a selected mid-sized market. Hopefully, if all goes well there over the next month, they will roll it out across all of their markets. But geez, at least use Tampa as the study market.

I'm also going to say something about Catch 47 not playing enough USF

I live in Melbourne (Orlando market).  Just recently BHN has added some cool stuff, ESPN2-HD and if you guys are correct, ESPNU.  Still, Orlando BHN has lagged far behind Tampa since I moved out here.

As an example, no Fox Sports Net, so I was at a bar to watch Wednesday's Hockey Game.
