What respect do you want from Vegas? We went 9-4 with one win over a team in the upper 1/2 (above 50th) of the college football computer rankings; that coming off a 6-6 campaign.

Being mentioned in the odds is respect, National Championships are freaking hard to win, they don't just come . 300-1 is about the right odds for us to win, I'd rather worry about the Big East.

It's actually very cool to be listed...  there are 70 schools not listed and the fact that we are not included in the field is a huge compliment... WVU is actually the second favorite at 7-1 just behind USC and with that game being at home I would rather wager $20 on USF at 300-1, than $10 on WVU

How sweet would it be to win it all and then cash in that ticket. a 20 bet would get be 6k. I may spend all of it on USF Championship gear.

You also have to consider the chances of getting to go to the NC... where would the voters rank an unbeaten USF team?  would it be similar to what Boise got last year? unbeaten, but not playing for the NC... an unbeaten, maybe even a 1 loss Arizona team, right or wrong, could be ranked ahead of the Bulls and thus a shot at the NC as opposed to where the voters rank USF

So basically the "field" is 50-1, but we're 300-1?  Doesn't make much sense.  How is Arizona 150-1?  Did they even go to a bowl game last year?

Easier schedule.

By the way, us listed at 300-1 and field at 50-1 means that they are saying we are only 1/6 less likely to win the championship than EVERY SINGLE UNLISTED TEAM COMBINED.  The are also saying that UF is 5x more likely to win it than every field team combined.

Still, it's nice to show up.  In each season, I want those odds to shrink until they're on par with the other top teams.
