I can't stand Duemig.  He hates it when people disagree with him.  I don't want to talk to him, not even to set him straight.  AM radio sucks in this area.

His attack on Jose (and womens basketball and Title IX) this week was ridiculous. His "boycott" of the football team this past season was ridiculous (not like he talked about us that much anyway). Quote from September: UCF "was going to roll over USF".  The Monday after the WVU win, when he was forced to talk about us, he spent about an hour talking about how Jim Leavitt was going to leave for Alabama or Miami and he was so sure of it. And I didnt hear him even mention Keeley Dorsey. (That I'm not sure of, he might have later in the show the night that it happened and I didnt hear it).  Thats just from this past season. And then the infamous HowieP incident.

I was driving home when the news of Keeley's passing hit the airwaves. Dummy was in the middle of ripping Jose when the news "came across the wire". It was very awkward radio as he struggled to read the press release.  There was no compassion in his voice, but rather disdain that he now looked like a schmuck for spending the first two hours ripping USF while the University was in crisis mode and mourning the passing of a 19 year old kid.

I used to like his show, but as soon as WDAE became the official Bucs radio station, Dummy turned into gutless buccaneer sycophant.

Thanks, I had put it on a couple of times after it came out to see if he said anything, I'll I heard him talking about was gambling.

I tried to call a couple times the Monday after the WVU game and couldnt get through. Part of his rant that "Leavitt was leaving" was because "you cant win a national title at South Florida, you cant go to a BCS game at South Florida".  Ususally when starts I turn it off. I listened to the first segment when he attacked Jose and then checked later and he was going off about Title IX.

He's a freaking Sports Talk Radio host. This is why most sports radio sucks and I do not listen to it.

I have never listened to this guy, but I've heard everyone *****. I don't know his views on USF or any other college program, I do know this. He's probably given an agenda of points they want him to touch on.

Sports Radio sucks.

Joe the thing is, he  almost has a monopoly of sports radio in the area, and usually does well in the ratings compared to everything (not just sports or talk). And this past season he hosted a national college football sports talk show on Sat. morning.

Listening to sports talk radio is a waste of time. The hosts do 5 seconds of research on a topic(if that much), and then talk about that topic as if they are some kind of expert. Then when someone who knows something about the topic confronts them they either insult that person or change the subject. Duemig follows this script to the letter. Again, just a big waste of time.

What about 1010am the sports Chicks and Al Keck?

Jim Lighthall & Al Keck do USF sports and you hardly ever hear them talking about the Bulls. The Chicks are better but I cannot have them on with the children in the car.

Do not listen to "DEAD-AIR" dummig. He has predicted ftu over USF in football the last two years...... He is an idiot that uses confrontation to inspire discussion.

HE rips USF

He rips the Buccaneers & Gurden

the only BUTTS he kisses are the players that have shows.

he loves the Lightning, golfs and GAMBLING......

GEEEEZZZZ i miss Chris Thomas.....

Al Keck doesnt go head to head against Duemig (unless its changed recently. They do USF stuff on there occassionly but very little). The Chix are extremely annoying and other times I cant even pick up 1010. But one of them actually watched the womens game vs. UL (b/c they had Jose's radio show the next day).

J.P. Petersen has a show at noon on 1470, but its hard to pick that station up to(and when I do, I've only heard him mention USF).

Sports Talk (like most "talk" radio programming) is geared towards what the audience

want's to hear. Listen to any show that relies on call-ins and the callers are behind the

host 99.9999% of the time. The law is to let in one voice of dissent ever so often to

break up the monotony.

The Tampa Bay area is not made up, for the most part, of die-hard USF fans. What do

you want to talk about; that is going to retain listeners and generate interest? Do you

want to call up and berate the mens BB team on the air? Or would you rather devote

an hour to how great and phenomenal the WOMENs (and think in terms of who is really

interested in that demographic across the listening audience) BB team is? Want to call

up and reminisce about the USF non-BCS bowl season that ended with the lowest TV

rated bowl game?

What did he do that was ANTI-USF? Remember...his audience is many, many, many

times the size of this bulletin board. It's business fellas...another day at the office.

couldnt agree more.
