Most of the computer polls are out, you just have to look them up. Here are the top five from them and their links.

Sagarin http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt06.htm

1 UF

2 Boise State

3 LSU

4 Wisconsin

5 USC

30 USF

Anderson http://www.andersonsports.com/football/ACF_frnk.html

Billingsley http://www.cfrc.com/Ratings_2006/WK_17.htm

1 UF

2 OSU

3 UL

4 Boise State

5 Wisconsin

26 USF

Colley http://www.colleyrankings.com/foot2006/rank16.html

1 UF

2 USC

3 UL

4 OSU

5 Boise State

34 USF

Massey http://www.masseyratings.com/rate.php?lg=cf

1 UF

5 USC

35 USF

Wolfe http://prwolfe.bol.ucla.edu/cfootball/ratings.htm#first

1 UF

2 OSU

3 Michigan

4 UL

5 LSU

29 USF

Note: the lowest score and the highest score are dropped and then an average is taken. This being said and depending on what Anderson has us at (which prior to the bowl is at 38), we will be somewhere in the 30-32 range.

If Wolfe is truly a computer poll then it must have a formula to make sure USC loses points.  I do notice that in the address it has a UCLA.  Michigan #3 is sort of a joke.

The updates are coming in for Massey's comparative site.   Our average ranking is 34 among the 65 rankings they have in, so far.  We'd be higher, but one service out of UNF has us at 60!

We're still well ahead of FSU and Miami.

That one ranking service must be screwed up.  Thay have Rice and LA La ahead of us. Rutgers at 36 and Boise at 22!

You always have one poll where the ranking is way out of whack.   That is why they delete the highest and lowest in the averaging.  Honestly, we should be ranked at about 32 at this point.  If we do what we are supposed to next year, we will definitely be in the top 25.

I don't mind knocking at the door and staying under the radar a bit until the final preseason rankings come out.  We don't want to have a target on our backs.  We've always been able to come into some games a little underestimated.  Once they know who we are, we lose that edge.  On the other hand, we can always use the recognition wherever and whenever we get it.

Unfortunately, where you end up in the polls at the end of the year depends a great deal on where you begin.  Not being in the top 25 (or nearly there) will prevent us from moving as high as we would if we were ranked, everything else being equal.
